Mission and Vission

The main objectives of the BSERT

To conduct and promote socioeconomic research, with particular emphasis on rural problems of Bangladesh, designed to gather new knowledge appropriate for effective teaching and practical applications.

To provide training to research workers and personnel engaged in rural development activities initiated by this University or any other agency.

To make available the results of such research and training through publications and other means of communication.

To establish functional linkage with national and international agencies with respect to collaborative research and training programs in the field of agriculture and rural development.

To organize conferences, training, workshops for teachers, students, farmers & other stakeholders for achieving sustainable development goals 

To organize policy dialogues among different stakeholders.
